Chapter 10, and How to Subscribe

What's up, historians?

The Chapter 10 podcasts have now been posted - they deal with the African kingdom of Kush, located just south of Egypt in what is now the Sudan (where Darfur is located, for those of you who follow the news). Happy listening!

You can always listen by clicking the links to the posts on this blog. But it's even easier if you subscribe to the podcast. Of course, it's free! (You can give me a tip in class if you enjoy it ;) - j/k)

The easiest way to subscribe to my podcast is if you have ITunes. If you do, open ITunes and click on the ITunes store on the left menu. You will see a search bar in the top-right corner. In that bar, type "Hureau" - you'll get a couple songs by some French pop singer and my two podcasts - one for US history (5th Grade), and one for ancient history (6th grade). The French guy's songs are $0.99, but my podcasts are free, so click "Subscribe!"

Once you have subscribed, click on "Podcasts" under "Library" on the left ITunes menu (not the store menu). The podcast will be there, and it will automatically download the most recent episode. You can click "get" to download other episodes, or click "get all" to download all of them at once. It shouldn't take too long.

Now the podcast is downloaded. You can plug in your MP3 player. Set the options to "Sync podcasts," and it will put the new podcasts onto your player if there are new ones. Each time you see new episodes in ITunes (it will check automatically), sync your MP3 player and you'll be ready to listen!

If you don't have ITunes and don't want to download it (it's free at http://www.apple.com/itunes/), there are a few other ways to put the Podcasts on your MP3 player. See me for more help.
